Drinking Water

Food

COMMERCIALLY BOTTLED WATER AND CARBONATED DRINKS ARE SAFE, PROVIDED YOU BREAK THE FACTORY SEAL JUST BEFORE CONSUMPTION. POURING BOTTLED WATER OR BEVERAGES IN GLASSES OR PITCHERS WILL RENDER THEM UNSAFE.

Tap water should never be used for drinking, preparing food or beverages or making ice. Brushing teeth with tap water should be avoided as well (use factory-sealed bottled water).

Hot beverages like coffee and tea are generally safe if served hot, in other words, iced coffee and iced tea cannot be considered safe.

One good tip: Wipe and dry cans and bottles before opening since they may be contaminated from other sources like ice or splashed water.
